Barbara Stein nee Mitchell, 69, beloved wife of the late Mitchell; loving mother of Scott and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Stein; adored New Marm of Benjamin, Jack and Charlotte; dear sister of Alan (Barbara) Mitchell and Jack Mitchell; treasured aunt, cousin and friend of many. Barbara was a member of the 50th Ward, Regular Democratic Organization and longtime public servant for the City of Chicago, Congressmen Frank Annunzio and Sidney Yates, and Senators Arthur Berman and Howard Carroll. Chapel service Monday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
